For the past 30 something years during each holiday season, my family has been creating gingerbread masterpieces. It takes at least four separate days (preparing recipe, planning design, rolling/baking and construction). We are four, but this time we had 3 interns;) Mom is the baker, Sister is the engineer, I am the designer, Dad is the construction foreman. It a tradition that my Mom started when I was a baby, and over the years friends have adopted this tradition as well.
